About Us

Hello, I'm Trisha. I live on Vancouver Island with my husband and our children.  I've dedicated my life to raising 7 wonderful kids. I stay at home and homeschool our youngest 4 who are still in their school years. The same passion and dedication that goes into my family, goes into my dogs. As they are family. They sleep with us, travel with us and are with us in all day to day errands. I believe in high quality kibble, topped with healthy foods such as; cottage cheese, coconut oil, peanut butter, fish oil and lean meats. They also love fresh veggies like carrots, peppers and grated zucchini. Fruits like blueberries, apples and melons are loved as well. I have a veterinarian that is very patient with all of my questions and whom I trust with my dogs health very much

Why a mini Aussie?

Mini Aussies are the first breed that I've come across that I wanted to breed. I felt I needed to breed. I found them hard to come by when I was first looking. Now they've become very popular and I see them often. I still have a hard time finding ones to my breeding standards.   So Stella, Theo, and Phoebe came from Louisiana. Jackson and Mellie came from Iowa. Cardi is from Missouri, Mia and Tucker are both from Washington. My husband and I have had different breeds while growing up and in our adult lives. This breed is amazing. Intelligent. Loving. Energetic and lazy. Wait what? Yes energetic AND lazy. They have their herding instincts but are very laid back. They're happy to be out hiking, kayaking or playing fetch. They're also happy lazying around the house or long road trips. I always dreamt of a dog that loved to play fetch, loved to bury bones and swim in the ocean. I also wanted a dog that was loyal, that stayed close to us and was obedient. I was shocked when I found those traits and more in Stella. After having (an amazing) 100lb German Shepherd, I knew that I couldn't go that big again. Insert "Mini Aussie", standing 14-18" and about 25-35lbs. Perfection. They're known affectionally as 'velcro dogs'. Note Stella sitting on my 3 year old in our vehicle LOL. They love to be where you are. If you're looking for an outside dog, a dog that likes to be alone, or a dog that doesn't need exercise, this is NOT your dog. Aussies aren't for everyone, just as I don't want a Chihuahua or a Saint Bernard. You may not want an Australian Shepherd. Please do your research.
